There's plenty of PIE to go around!

Dear BPMS Community,

Welcome back to school! It's such an exciting time getting to see everyone following summer break – faces both new and familiar – and to begin connecting and reconnecting with the school community! If this is your first year at BPMS: we welcome you! We are delighted to be here with all of you and can’t wait to see what exciting adventures this new year brings!

We are the new co-chairs of PIE: Marie Johnson and Carmen Tedesco. For the few of you who may not already know us, Marie has two kids at BPMS - a first and fourth grader and Carmen has a third grader as well as a recent BPMS graduate who is a newly minted 5th grader at CHMS. We’re excited to welcome Dee Quesnel to her new role as treasurer of PIE! Dee’s daughter is in second grade at BPMS. Katie Jewett is also returning for what will be her last year as secretary of PIE, with her daughter in fourth grade at BPMS (and her son in sixth at CHMS)! 

Our goals for PIE this year center around building community. We want to hear from you – what do you want to get out of PIE this year, and where do you think you’d fit in? There is a place for everyone who wants to be involved! It takes all kinds of folks with all kinds of talents to make all the awesome things happen for our kids and our school that we love so much… and we're always stronger when we work together!

We will plan to meet monthly in the BPMS multi-purpose room with a virtual option available and a childcare space whenever possible. Once our meeting dates are set, we will post them. Meanwhile, check out the calendar to view upcoming events!

Maybe meetings just aren’t your thing, and that’s cool too! There are so many different kinds of ways to participate, from gardening to organizing volunteers to sorting holiday shopping extravaganza items to getting dunked on Wicked Fun Day (our personal favorite) and so much more to come!

• Get in touch - do you have a skill set that you think could be useful? Let us know! Send us an email (chair@bpmspie.org), track us down in the parking lot, or talk to Sue in the front office!
