Check out The Giving Tree outside the BPMS library! Just grab a tag with one of the "wish list" items on the tree if you see one you'd like to purchase in support of our awesome teachers! When you bring the item to school you can drop it off to the teacher or with Sue, who has kindly offered to take the item to the classroom or support team member! Thanks for your help getting those little “extras” for our classrooms!
Do you have good quality books that are taking up space on your shelf? We are collecting gently used, current books that can be sold to help fund the amazing work in our school library!
You can drop them off in the box at BPMS outside the library.
We're looking for:
- Adult and young adult hardcover and paperback books in good condition (no writing, highlighting, or damage)
- Titles published in the last 10-15 years
- Fiction and non-fiction books (but we cannot accept textbooks, encyclopedias, outdated nonfiction, or heavily worn books)
Attention parents of kids ages 6-10.
(5 year olds are also welcome to participate with the support of a caregiver!)
We are happy to share that BPMS is working with RunVermont to offer a Mini Milers program again this year! We plan to offer meetings at BPMS on Mondays & Wednesdays 2:30-3:30. The season will start on Wednesday, April 2nd. Kids do not need to commit to both days. Runners of all abilities are welcome. RunVermont does charge a $15 registration fee that helps cover the cost of a tee-shirt and a few other materials for the program (scholarships are available if needed). The season culminates with an optional Mini Marathon at the Waterfront Park in Burlington on 5/24/25 with the option to participate in a 1/2 mile, 1 mile or 2 mile run.

A huge thanks goes out to Brent and Maya McCoy, AKA YES! Theater who infused our learning community with hilarity and joy for the last week of March with a curriculum featuring circus skills, story creation, teambuilding, and theatrics! The culminating Student Showcase was "amazing and hilarious" as promised, and included incredible performances from every student at BPMS! Thanks also to the Vermont Arts Council, whose generous financial support made this fantastic program possible! Many thanks to the many family and community members who attended the event in support! If you weren't able to make the show and would like to see and recording, please contact chair@bpmspie.org. If you'd like to read more about YES! Theater, check out www.YesTheater.com! howcase
